One of our aims here at Flamborough Head Golf Club is to be inclusive to all our members. Our Junior Section is no different. The Juniors run regular competitions for both those with and without official handicaps which targets the development of Junior golf within the club.

Within the past two years, the club has integrated a new Blue Course on the main golf course which provides an easier test of golf for beginners. The course has been developed with it’s own par and stroke indices with an unofficial handicap structure in place aimed to progress players onto obtaining a full course handicap as their skill levels increase.

Amongst the many competitions held for the Juniors is the inter-club East Coast Junior Tour, which is hosted between three local golf clubs (Flamborough, Bridlington Belvedere and Scarborough South Cliff). The tour brings together players of all skill levels and has proved a popular event that has successfully given younger juniors their first taste of competitive golf.

For those with CONGU handicaps, we have a number of Junior Trophies that are competed for annually. Juniors with handicaps also share full competitive rights with adult members in Mens, Ladies and Mixed trophies and are able to enter all Open Competitions.
